2018 OUTLAW DIRT KART NATIONALS FORMAT and Info

Monday 8/6 Gates open at 2pm with Driver check in from 2-6pm
Tuesday Gates open at 4pm with Driver Check in 4p-6pm
Hot Laps are scheduled to start at 6:30 pm both days

Pit Pass $30.00 per Day or $50.00 for a 2-day pass
Grandstands $10 per day or $15 for a 2-Day pass

MONDAY
• Heat Race Set 1—Lined up by Draw number.
• 8-10 Kart maximum per heat (depending on Kart count)
• 6 lap for R-Box All other Classes 8 laps per heat
• Heat Race Set 2—Inverted by Draw number.
• 8-10 Kart maximum per heat (depending on Kart count)
• 6 lap for R-Box All other Classes 8 laps per heat
***Top 10 in Points from Monday’s heats are locked into the “A” Main Event—ALL TIES ARE Determined BY THE DRAW
TUESDAY
• Dash for CASH
• Top 6 in points from Monday—6 lap dash straight up by point total Finishing position will line up first 3 rows of the “A” Main
• Twin or Single “B” Mains depending on kart count
• Twin “B” Mains—12 laps each -Top 4 per B to the “A” Main for Open Class—All other Classes top 3 per B transfer to “A”
• Single “B” Main—top 8 to the ”A” for the Open Class only— All other classes Top 6 to “A” Main—R-Box will only run Single B if needed and Top 4 will transfer to “A” Main
“A” Main Kart Count- 18 karts for Open Class—14 Karts for R-Box—All other classes 16 Karts

• Intermediate Wing
• Box Stock
• Adult Wing
• 250cc ECS
• Open/500cc

SOME THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND FOR NATIONALS

*No tire prep of any kind allowed on the property of ECS.
*If you do not run on Monday you WILL NOT run on Tuesday without Prior Promoter Approval.

*All points are calculated on ACTUAL Green Flag Starting position and not line-up position. If a kart does not make it out onto the track line up position will be adjusted- No Staggering

• If a SINGLE KART brings out a yellow on the START of a Race THAT KART will be sent to the back on the lineup on the restart. ****If 2 or MORE KARTS are involved in a yellow at the start of the race those karts WILL GET THERE POSITION BACK. *No Kart(s) will be charged a YELLOW on the Initial START of a race if they are the cause of the Yellow - After 1 lap complete any yellow will be charged to the kart(s) involved.

• At ECS if you are charged with 2-Yellows (3 for R-box) you will be SENT to the infield. - In other words on your 2nd yellow you are done with that race. (3rd for R-Box)

*To receive points for the race you must take the Green flag on your own power

*Double file starts. The two lead karts must stay side by side, at MEDIUM SPEED, until reaching the start cone. After two attempts if we do not get A side by side start it will be a single file start

*All races are timed. Each lap = 1 minute Example Heats are 8 laps or 8 Minutes. If we reach the time mark the race will be cut short with a Green White Check. First good Green Flag start will start the timer. Red Flags will stop the clock.

**Sportsmanship is HUGE at ECS

** Do not enter the scoring tower at anytime - You will be DQ'd
**PitPasses are required at all times to enter the Pit area- Driver maybe DQ'd if crew does not have pit passes visible

ALCOHOL BEVERAGES

1. Alcohol beverages are not allowed in the pit area. During the RACE Program
2. Anyone observed drinking any type of alcohol during the race program will be disqualified.
3. You are responsible for your pit crew members. If a member of your pit crew is observed drinking alcohol you will be disqualified.
