Ottati is getting it done
On Friday September 2nd at Legion Speedway it was a full card of racing featuring 5 divisions to start off the holiday weekend. Donald Ottati stayed hot in the Non Wing Sprint Cars. Ottati held off many challenges Mark Cole during the race mainly on the few restarts towards the end. Cole had used up his tires just a bit too much in order to pass Ottati. Cole would end up second Nick Comeau third Matt Collins and Adam Trott your top five. In the modifieds it was John Stowell running a good race to take home his first win at Legion Speedway followed by Bryan Bigue and Matt Lashua. It was good to see some different mods here in the pit area at Legion. In the Pro 4 's it was Jason Darling taking down the win followed by Fabian Smith and David Bill. The Outlaw midgets were back and it was Mark Sokol from Doylesville, PA taking down the win followed by Jeff Horn and Mike Netishen. Sokol would win in the 600 non wing micros in the followed by Mark Wiggett and Jack Kopenan . It was a seven hour ride for Sokol , but hey he got two wins so maybe it was a happy ride back home. Congratulations to all the winners, you still have time to win another race or two before we stop racing in 2022.
Each week at Legion Speedway this season has gotten better with the competition and the race fans supporting the track. The owners and staff of the track thank you all for your support and letting us learn what is needed each week to continue some good dirt track racing here in New Hampshire. Legion Speedway is the states only weekly dirt track and will continue the history past 2022, thanks to everyone who comes out.
The first year of new ownership is winding down with just four weeks left here in 2022. Still plenty of time to come watch some good short track racing. For more information on the remaining events check out our website at LegionSpeedwayNH.com for full details.
- TBA for 9/30/22 is in discussion now to which divisions will be racing. We want to do something a little different and have a couple of plans. If those don't work out we will have another great night of our weekly divisions.
