NEW DATE for The Jack Cook Memorial Race Night

Wentworth, NH. - Hello everyone who visits the website. Just wanted to give you all an update on our summer racing this season and the new date for the Jack Cook memorial race.

With the original date for the Jack Cook Memorial race night being rained out, the new date is September 6, 2024. This event has the same divisions running as the original night. With the Sportsman Coupe Mods, the Peanuts Auto Sportsman Modifieds, Wingless Sprint Cars, and the Pro 4 divisions. These divisions all have connection with "Gentleman Jack", weather he raced that type of car or presently friends and racers he has helped are racing those divisions now, so it's only fitting to keep the same divisions. With the passing of Jack's wife Nancy earlier this race season, we hope to see many of their friends here to honor them both.

Also a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who was at the track this past Friday as we took up a collection with drivers walking through the stands with there helmets collecting money for long time Granite State Mini Sprints member and past president Troy Boissoneau who was in a bad accident working on his property. Troy is currently still in the hospital and has a very long road to recovery. We hope to see Troy at a racetrack again when he is ready to go racing.

Even though our car counts are down and we are working with different divisions, teams, drivers, most racers have been happy with the new clay laid down just before our first race. The Late Models were back for the first time since 2022 last Friday after a couple exhibition events to try the track. The track has been good to race on with some minor things needed to adjust as we come down the stretch for the 2024 season. We have a decent race track for local racers choosing to race on dirt. We have had a few travelers as well with a group of racers from CT racing here multiple times. THANK YOU all race teams that have visited us so far in 2024.

I would like to welcome Ahearn Equipment to the family , they are an equipment sales, service and rental business and a franchise for SANY Equipment. They have 3 locations Hudson, NH. , Spencer, MA. , and opening soon in East Providence, RI.

We have fun with our Trophy Princess, Brinley .. she loves to start each race night with the pledge of allegiance, and then greet the race winners in Victory Lane. She is a fan favorite.

I want to apologize for not updating the website more frequently , but with so more needed to keep up the grounds and working on the new scoring system , and everything else that needs to be done , the days are just not long enough. We are not posting results or points this season due to the small car counts. Each division has had only a couple drivers make each event. The track will do something for the drivers who supported us during 2024 to show our support of the racers rather than a points title.

Hopefully next year we will have someone to do the website weekly along with social media stuff. We are looking for someone to take over that.

Thank you for checking in with us and hope to see you all on a Friday night, Please support the Cook family on September 6th if your available.

BeKind
