Fifth-place finish in Gordie Rivera Memorial at Cocopah

Friday night found Jeff Taylor in action at Cocopah Speedway (Somerton, Ariz.) for the two-day Gordie Rivera Memorial Night. In a field of 26 IMCA Modifieds, Taylor’s fourth-place finish in his heat race pinned him 16th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. On Saturday, Jeff stopped the clocked 10th fastest overall before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in 10th, Taylor advanced forward six spots in the 30-lapper to register a sixth-place finish. He followed Kollin Hibdon, Kyle Brown, and Ricky Thornton Jr. across the line with Ricky Alvarado coming in fifth.
