A Rain Out At Volusia Speedway Results In An Unexpected Win In A Micro For Bryce At The Bullring!
Well last Saturday was an interesting day. The plan was to race Steve Diamond’s Top Gun Sprint car at Volusia Speedway. We got there around 1:30 so Austin, Bryce and I decided to grab lunch over in Ormond Beach. When we were about to pay the check we found out Volusia canceled. So we decided to head back to Marion County Speedway to watch our buddy’s Bill Gise and Tyler Landis race as well as our little buds in their quarter midgets. When we got there Bill Gise offered up his other car for Bryce to drive. Wow, just wow! Fortunately they had the same size seats so he felt pretty comfortable in the car. Practice went well. He was able to win his heat race which had him starting out side pole for the feature. He took the lead on the first lap and was able to bring it home!
Can’t thank Bill enough for letting Bryce wheel his bad ass car! He loved it and wanted to go another 50 laps. And Timmy and Robby Hoffmann and Kenny Brewer helping getting the car set up.
Also shout out to Steve Diamond Jr., Mr. Kurt, Darrell and Mr. Diamond for swinging by to support and watch Bryce.
Great job Easton Lebo for finishing 3rd his first time back in the car in what seems like years and to Evan BookMiller for his 2nd place run in the Legends car!
As always thanks to the whole Hoffmann Compound and everyone else that came out and supported him!
Scrappy and Bella were along for the ride.
