Jeremy Steams to Another Top Ten at 141 Raceway
141 is always a place Jeremy likes to race at. A win and two other podiums in the past couple years might just be the reason. The unique race track always provides for some good racing. The night would start out with the team drawing a 49 pill. Jeremy would go out in the middle of the third qualifying flight and end up 5th quick.
The Jerry’s Automotive backed sprint car would start fifth in the heat. The team continues to find speed in the 5J and at the end of the 10 laps Jeremy had found a sweet spot on the track and won the heat.
After the invert was drawn Jeremy would start 10th. At the green Jeremy would try the high like the night before but would settle down on the bottom. This is where he would start to move forward. A couple of cautions would see the 5J up to 7th. Jeremy would continue on the low side and up to 5th before running out of room racing for 4th. After hitting a tire and bending a tie rod and drag link the handling would go away and Jeremy would end up 9th. The team is very pleased with the progress they are making.
