Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series Adds 11th Annual Scott Sexton Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway on Monday May 29
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (April 29, 2023)- The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series is pleased to announce an addition to the 2023 Southern Series schedule as the tour will now sanction the 11thAnnual Scott Sexton Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway on Monday May 29 with the winner of the event garnering $5,052 for their efforts, $450 to start the 40 lap main event. Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tenn. is the defending winner of this event.
The 11th Annual Scott Sexton Memorial at 411 Motor Speedway will take place on Monday May 29 and will feature the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series competitors in a full program of racing action that will culminate with the 11th Annual Scott Sexton Memorial feature event that will pay $5,052 to win. Other divisions in competition at the Scott Sexton Memorial event at 411 Motor Speedway include Sportsman $800 to win, Street Stock $600 to win, Front Wheel Drive $400 to win and Crown Vics $300 to win. Ticket prices for this event will be just $10.00 for adults in the grandstands and $30.00 for adults in the pit area. Pit gates open at 3:00 pm, Grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm with the drivers meeting scheduled for 6:30 pm and hot laps to follow.
The addition of this event sets up the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series competitors with a four-race Memorial Day weekend swing, beginning at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday May 26 ($7,500 to win), Saturday May 27 at Lake Cumberland Speedway ($7,531 to win), Sunday May 28 at Tazewell Speedway ($5,001 to win), and Monday May 29 at 411 Motor Speedway ($5,052 to win).
