Intown Concord's Market Days Touch A Truck
Jack will be attending the 41st Annual Market Days in Concord NH on Thursday June 25th from 12pm to 8pm as part of the Touch a Truck feature during their "Things that go Fast" day. See the article as written in the Concord Patch below.
NEW DATE, SAME PLACE: Intown Concord’s 41st Annual Market Days Festival presented by NH Federal Credit Union, returns to historic downtown Concord from Thursday, June 25 through Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Market Days regularly attracts more than 50,000 attendees over the course of three days, making it central New Hampshire’s biggest free community event of the year.
More than a half-mile of Main Street and side streets will be closed to vehicle traffic, transforming North and South Main Street, Concord into a gigantic street fair with more than 160 vendors offering a vast array of food, shopping, and entertainment. This is truly a unique festival because of its community based participation and the large groups of volunteers who meet throughout the year to make it happen. And this year, Market Days guests will be among the first to admire and enjoy the “new” east side of North Main Street, with its wide sidewalks, beautiful plazas, and expanded outdoor dining.
For devoted “fair food” fans, Market Days is the ultimate destination, with more than 30 food vendors offering everything from fried oreos to stuffed grape leaves. Why heat up the kitchen, when you can leave the cooking to downtown’s wide array of restaurants, cafés, and visiting vendors for three days straight!

As always, the Market Days Festival is FREE to attend. We invite everyone to come all three days and discover something new and different each day!
Market Days has something for everyone. Tens of thousands of families come from across New Hampshire to spend the day together enjoying music, dancing, demonstrations, great food, and fun summer shopping in downtown Concord! The Market Days Festival features seven program areas with some 36 hours of entertainment for all ages. Popular festival attractions include live music and entertainment in Bicentennial and Eagle squares, Free Family Fun activities on the State House Lawn, a beer & hospitality tent, an outdoor movie, community performances, the Concord Arts Market, and much more, including a Krazy Kids play area and Market Days Mini Golf course on City Plaza.
New to the festival for 2015 is a free Touch-a-Truck feature, with an assortment of vehicles on display each day at the northern end of the festival. And, as part of the celebration of the City of Concord’s 250th anniversary, members of the Abbot-Downing Historical Society will bring an authentic, beautifully restored Concord Coach to State House Plaza from 10:00am to 1:00pm, all three days of the festival, weather permitting.

The North Main Street portion of the Main Street construction is coming along great. Market Days visitors will want to wear comfortable shoes and watch their footing, because parts of the median strip will still be somewhat gravelly. It’s all worth it to admire the newly transformed streetscape on the east side of the street: beautiful new sidewalks, granite benches, planters, trees, streetlamps, bike racks, and more. It’s a perfect opportunity to stand in the middle of Main Street and observe the dramatic difference between the existing streetscape on the west side and the new one on the east, designed for safety, accessibility, and walkability.
“Located in the heart of our vibrant capital city, Market Days is an annual opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the spirit of Concord,” said Elyssa Paris, president of Intown Concord’s board of directors. “It’s always fun to come downtown, run into our neighbors and friends, and see all of our unique local businesses showcased right on our beloved Main Street! We look forward to the 41st year of bringing this free family event to the city, and invite all to come downtown and celebrate Concord!”
