Crouch Tackling Western World Championship for First Time in Career

Inside Line Promotions – PETTY, Texas (Nov. 11, 2020) – Brenham Crouch is bound for the famed Western World Championship this weekend.

Crouch will drive for Keith Kunz Motorsports on Friday and Saturday during the 53rd edition of the marquee midget event at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz. It will mark his first time competing at the dirt oval.

“I’m excited to head to a new track and race in another big event,” he said. “It will be tough with a lot of great drivers. We’ll take advantage of the practice night on Thursday and hopefully get dialed in.”

This weekend marks the first two nights of five races in nine days with the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series. Crouch will follow the doubleheader in Arizona by racing on Nov. 17 at Bakersfield Speedway in Bakersfield, Calif., before invading Merced Speedway in Merced, Calif., Nov. 20-21.

“I like when we do this, racing a bunch in a row,” he said. “Whether you have a good or a bad night you can rebound or carry your momentum from the previous night. I’m aiming to make the A Mains and I’m hoping to get some top 10s.”

Crouch is coming off a 10th-place result during his 360ci winged sprint car debut last Saturday at 82 Speedway, where he faced more than two dozen entrants during the Sprint Car Bandits event.

“Running the midget helps with the sprint car and I feel like running the sprint car will keep me smoother in the midget,” he said. “They help each other out. I was a little off early, but we bounced back and brought it back for a top 10.”
