Schrader Embarks on the New Season; Emerges Victorious
Ken Schrader opened his 2024 season on Thursday night at Central Arizona Raceway (Casa Grande, Ariz.) aboard the Brad Whitfield-owned No. 3 IMCA Stock Car.
Sixteen drivers entered the Ernie Mincey Early Thaw event at the 3/8-mile oval, and Ken started his night with a fourth-to-third charge in his heat race.
Starting seventh in the night's 20-lap feature, Schrader raced his way to a fourth-place finish behind Bo Partain, Kevin Roberts, and Trent Grager.
On Friday, Ken enjoyed his first trip to Victory Lane of the 2024 season. He began his night by advancing three spots to finish second in his heat race. Starting second on the feature grid, Ken led early and often to pick up his the triumph over Jason Rogers, Jordan Zillmer, Bo Partain, and Josh Cain.
On Saturday evening action continued Schrader won his heat race from the second-starting spot and backed it up with a fourth-place finish in the feature behind Brock Beeter, Jordan Zillmer, and Bo Partain.
