I-35 Speedway reveals 2020 schedule
By I-35 Speedway (Winston, MO) -- 2020 a year with great vision is just around the corner and I-35 Speedway is pleased to release the tentative 2020 schedule. Get out those calendars and start marking the dates for the always outstanding door to door, super exciting, ground pounding thunder of racing as it returns to the legendary track. Two, yes two, practice sessions (March 14 and 21) will provide the racers the chance to fine tune those machines for opening night (March 28).
Weekly Racing includes USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, E-Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Sport Compacts, and the Midwest Limited Late Models. Updated Rules for the Limited Late Models, the E-Mod, Pure Stock, and Sport Compact classes will be available at the January 11, 2020 Drivers Meeting and www.i-35speedway.net. The rules are written to allows racers to come race and have fun, without additional cost to their pocketbook. For the USRA classes those rules have been updated and published at www.usraracing.com.
I-35 Speedway is home to several memorial races as we remember those who have thrilled/helped us through the years and have already headed home to race in heaven. Those races include the Cletus “Mudcat” Murray Memorial, Finish Strong – Mike Tanner Memorial, Racin for Rian, Gary Davis Super 66 Stock Car Special (this year a two-day event, last year 165 racecars in attendance), Bud Wilson Memorial and the Mike Knight Memorial.
I-35 Speedway continues to honor our race fans with a Thank You Race Fan Night of Celebration with General Admission Grandstand FREE Nights on May 9 and September 12. Each month is packed with nights you will want to be in attendance. Maybe you are Sprint Car fan, well new this year are the USAC Midwest Wingless Sprints as these always exciting super speedy open wheel racing machines make a return to the high banks of I-35 Speedway. In August, the Vintage Cars will be racing in a two-day Vintage Special (Friday and Saturday Night) held the same weekend as the 5th Annual Smokin’ Trackside BBQ Bash.
