LICHTFELD ROCKETS TO CABIN FEVER 50 WIN
Wisconsin Dells WI 5/7/22-Portage’s Mike Lichtfeld worked his way from his 6th starting spot to claim the Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Model 50 lap main event. Brandon Reichenberger and Mahlon Borntreger paced the field to the green flag. Reichenberger took the initial lead as Nick Nolden and Mike Lichtfeld immediately started their march to the front on the outside. Nolden was the first to the point as he overtook Reichenberger just after the 7 lap mark. He would continue to stretch the lead until a caution with 36 to go would bring the 44 to his rear bumper. On the ensuing restart Lichtfeld was able to gain the upper hand and run away to the convincing opening night victory. He was followed to the line by Nolden, Kendrick Kreyer, Jesse Bernhagen and Morgan Schissel. Larry Schotten of Mauston won the Gandrud Chevrolet 20 lap B Main he along with Colton Morgan, Stephen Manke and Scott Luck advanced to the A main The Diamond Wheels Fast Dash was won by Nick Nolden The three Gandrud Performance parts heat races were claimed by Allen Borntreger , Drew Bernhagen and Mike Ehde. Jesse Bernhagen was the evening’s fastest qualifier with a mark of 13.999.
