MOORE COLLECTS UMA 602 OUTLAW LATE MODEL A-MAIN

Wisconsin Dells WI-Pete Moore turned back the clock and brought home the victory in the 602 Outlaw Late Models on Performance Parts Supply night at the races. Alex Hartwig and Charlie Bates would bring the 18 car feature field to the line for their 35 lap A-Main. Hartwig would grab the early lead and start to pull away with Bates in tow. Dennis Prunty and the night’s fast qualifiers would start to climb through the field diligently as the laps ticked down. Cautions would play a big part in this race as the drivers shook of the winter rust. One such Caution would shape the feature finish as the two leaders would tangle off turn 2 on the restart triggering a multi car melee that would set up a showdown to the checkers. Mike Winters would bring the field to the stripe for the final single file restart Pete Moore and Ethan Rose would work past Winters and battle for the checkers. Moore would prove to be the superior as he came to the line to collect the first 602 Outlaw Late Model checkered flag of 2023.Moore was followed to the line by Ethan Rose, Mike WInters, Alex Hartwig and Dennis Prunty. Prunty was the fastest of 18 cars with a lap of 14.095. Preliminary races were cancelled due to the impending threat of rain. The 602 Outlaw Late Models return to Dells Raceway Park June 10th.
