MCCRACKEN EARNS CLEAN SWEEP IN DRP SIXERS

Wisconsin Dells WI-Elroy’s Dustin McCracken busted out the broom for a clean sweep Saturday night in the Six-Shooter Division at Dells Raceway Park. Landin Frye and Tod Holerud brought the furious field to the green to put a cap on the night at DRP. Holerud would jump out to the early lead as the field fanned out to exciting 2 and 3 wide action. Defending Six Shooter Champion Josh Zacharias would move quickly to take the lead from Holerud after starting 10th. The 16 would lead a large part of the race until the 25 of McCracken would track him down with just a handful of laps remaining. The two would put on a show as they swapped the lead and pushed their cars to the absolute limit. With just two laps to go McCracken would make the final pass for the win to sweep the night. Zacharias finished second followed by Chuck Muller, Matt Moore and Tim Murphy. McCracken was Fast Time with a New Track Record of 17.535. He and Ken Wrege won the heat races. In Their two races at DRP this year the Six Shooter class has been a group of show stoppers with great side by side clean racing. They are quickly becoming must see racing at Dells Raceway Park. The Six Shooters will be right back at it next week June 17th as part of the Pro Late Model Triple Crown Round 2.
