TRUTE DOMINATES UMA SPORTSMAN WITH DRP WIN

Wisconsin Dells WI-Dave Trute of New Lisbon WI continues his dominance of the UMA Sportsman Class on Logan’s Heroes Bar and Grill night at the races. Carson Sillars and Logan Delaney brought the field to the green on a gorgeous Saturday night in the Dells. Sillars would take the initial lead and lead the field for 6 of the 25 laps of the Amain. Andrew Borntreger would challenge for and take the lead on lap 7 and try to grow the lead as much as he could before the 2 of Trute could shake free of traffic. The 2 would get free and set his sights on the15 at the point. A late caution would bring the field back to the 15 of Borntreger and put Trute on the outside of row 1 on the restart. Try as he may the 15 just was not equal to the task as Trute would drive off to a dominant win. Borntreger would be second followed by Rookie Driver Derrin Salo, Logan Delaney and Mitch Lyden. Dave Trute would be Fast Time with a lap of 14.861. Derrin Salo would win the Fast Dash and Mark Challet would claim the heat race. The UMA Sportsman Return to action at DRP July 1st as Part of the North American Cup Dedicated to Carl Wegner starring the Tundra Super Late Model Series AND A FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA!
