LICHTFELD DOMINATES WALBECK LATE MODEL 50

Wisconsin Dells WI-Current points Leader Mike Lichtfeld took one more step towards claiming his third straight Gandrud Performance Parts Late Model Track Championship with a dominating performance in the Walbeck Classic Presented by Auto Value Part Stores 50 lap main event. Starting from the outside of row 5 “The Trophy Hunter” marched forward in diligent but aggressive fashion landing at the lead just before halfway. From there the 44 would go unchallenged as he would drive off into the balmy Saturday night collecting his 4th Feature win of 2024. Lichtfeld would be followed to the line by Weston Marthaler, Kevin Kulka, Mike Ehde and Steve Lichtfeld. Mike Lichtfeld was fastest in qualifying with a lap of 14.150. The Diamond Racing Wheels Fast Dash was won by Randy Sargent while the heat races were won by Mahlon Borntreger and Mike Ehde. With just Championship Night Presented by Oreilly Auto Parts remaining on September 7th Mike Lichtfeld holds 107 point lead over Nick Nolden. Anything can still happen you’ll just have to be there to see a champion be crowned!
