2017 Season Will See Green Flag This Weekend

After much anticipation and plenty of work, race cars will finally hit the dirt this weekend at Wagner Speedway.
The season will start this Saturday, May 6th with the annual “Test-N-Tune” at 1:30pm. It’s an opportunity for drivers in all classes to bring their cars to the track and run as many laps as they want to insure their equipment is ready for the rigors of race season. “Test-n-tune” is free and open to the public.
Then we start for keeps on Friday, May 12th with the first of 10 regular season points races, featuring Dirt Late Models, Pro Stocks, B-Mods, Hobby Stocks and B-Buzzer front wheel drives. The Speedway will also be hosting 5 Sprint Car specials, including what will be one of the biggest shows the track has ever seen. The Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Nebraska 360 Sprints will invade Wagner Speedway, one night only, Friday, July 14th. Along with the 360s will be the Pro Stocks, B-Mods and Hobby Stocks and a HUGE Fireworks show following the races. The Nebraska Limited Sprints will entertain fans 4 times during the season, including May 26th, June 30th, July 28th and August 18th.
Along with great racing on the track, Wagner Speedway has put together 2 special nights for fans. On Friday, June 30th, the first “Horsepower for Hunger” night will take place, benefiting the Wagner Food Pantry. Race fans who bring non-perishable food items will have a chance to win a prepaid Visa card to use as they choose. 1 item gets 1 chance, 10 items gets 10 chances, etc. The more food items you bring, the more chances you have of winning. More details on this promotion will be coming soon.
The other special event the track is very proud to present is Military and First Responders Night on Friday, July 28th. Any past or present Military member or First Responder, with proper ID, will be allowed into the races that night free,
