We're glad to get so much positive fan feedback after our first 2019 event and our goal is to have a consistently great racing program week in, week out (well, less all the weather issues!)!
82 Speedway offers a very strong base purse structure for all regular scheduled events (but note that some nights are higher payback, see event schedule for nightly details):
82 Modifieds: $1,000 – 600 – 400 – 300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100…to start.
Limited Modifieds, Texas Stocks & Factory Stocks (same purse structure, each division): $500 – 300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100 – 90 – 80 – 70 – 60…to start.
Econo-Limiteds & Econo-Stocks (same purse structure, each division): $300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100 – 80 – 70 – 60 – 50…to start.
Non-qualifiers or non-starters will receive $30 each in all divisions. If a driver chooses to compete in more than one division on the same night, the driver must purchase an additional pit pass per division entered. On regularly scheduled events, if 11 or fewer cars in a division are signed in, the posted purse structure for that division on that night will start at 2nd place pay and continue down from that point on. If the races rain out before the completion of the heat races, hold on to your ticket stub, as it will be valid for the next scheduled race of same ticket price value (in other words, if tickets that night were $15, the next event you will have a $15 credit when you redeem your ticket stub from the previous event). The exact same procedure will be in effect regarding pit passes. If the races rain out after the heat races, the event is considered complete, and any remaining races will not be rescheduled and all drivers will receive start money for their scheduled division that night (for any of the feature events that rained out). There will be no grandstand tickets valid for a future date if races are rained out after the completion of heat races.
MODIFIED DRIVERS 2019 82 Speedway Modified Division Tire Rule Update – Effective Immediately:
Last year at 82 Speedway in the 82 Modified division, the drivers that raced with us quickly found out that our unique set of blended rules with our very specific tire rule created a pretty dang equalized outcome…especially when it came to teams that typically race with IMCA or USRA rules.
The ‘82 tire’ rule really seemed to put aside the differences in the variations between the two primary sets of sanctioning body rules. And in the off-season, we’ve heard from a lot of predominately USRA drivers that they would like to race with us – but are having a hard time ‘biting off’ on purchasing 8 tires to check us out.
So here’s what we’re going to do for right now. Drivers can choose the following option – with no option for any further interpretation or variation:
Drivers can choose (whether they’re IMCA, USRA, UMP; etc.) to run the IMCA stamped Hoosier G-60 tire on all 4 corners, plus those drivers get to run a 2” maximum rear spoiler.
The new option is that drivers can choose (whether they’re IMCA, USRA, UMP; etc.) to run the IMCA stamped Hoosier G-60 tire on both rears, then the AR (KK704) USRA tires on the front of their car, but those drivers cannot run a rear spoiler.
This way, drivers that want to get a taste of running at 82 Speedway (and for $1,000 to win nightly, no less!) can do so without feeling they must buy 8 IMCA tires to have a competitive chance.
And just like the modified teams that have already raced with us, we feel they will quickly find that our ’82 Speedway’ rules modifieds have created quite the level playing field across all sanctioning bodies, and those drivers will figure that out and will eventually flop over to our primary tire rules that include the 2” spoiler.
Reminder: all of our 'regularly' scheduled 82 Speedway modified feature events pay a minimum of $1,000 to win and $100 to start - all without requiring you to purchase a license or pay a nightly draw fee or entry fee! Our annual $30 car membership is all that's due to race with us. Click www.82Speedway.com for schedule and track info.
Click www.82Speedway.com for details and we look forward to seeing you all at the track for a night of affordable family fun!
