IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF FALL: LETS TALK TURKEY!

$34,000 LONESTAR SPEEDWAY COMP CAMS SUPER DIRT SERIES TOPLESS TURKEY NAT'LS - 11/25!

Kilgore, TX (9/22/17) by DarinShort.com. LoneStar Speedway near Kilgore Texas is proud to announce that the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil will invade the high-banked 1/3 mile clay oval for the $5,000 to win Topless Turkey Nationals on Saturday afternoon, November 25th at 2pm. The sun sets on that date at 5:15pm, which will allow us to get the features all completed by 8-9pm.

This marks the second-ever visit of the CCSDS to LoneStar Speedway, so please continue reading to gobble up all of the event details:

This event has a bumped-up feature event from the past two LoneStar Turkey Nationals and will attract the top Super Late Model teams from a 6-state region, as it pays $5,000 to win and $500 just to take the green flag in the 40-lap feature event. Other than the cars being topless, all other CCSDS rules and procedures will be in effect. It is also the final points event for the CCSDS series in 2017.

The Super Late Models are just part of a jam-packed night of racing, as LoneStar Speedway divisions will round out the 5-division racing card. The high-powered Modifieds racing for $1,500 to win and $120 to start; with $750 to win for the Limited Modifieds, $500 will go to the winner of the Factory Stock feature, and the Front Wheel Drive 4-Cylinder teams will be competing for $200 to win.

For fans not familiar with the CCSDS, it is based out of Beebe Arkansas, with Chris Ellis at the helm. Chris states: "It is our goal to provide quality regional late model racing to the fans and tracks of the mid-south. In doing so, we will provide mid-south promoters an affordable series which is financially attractive to the racers, fans, and the tracks."

The CCSDS is essentially aligned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) rules, which are why they are considered 'Super Late Models', with 400+C.I. engines. This rules alignment also allows them to co-sanction with the LOLMDS series on occasion - when they are in the area. Drivers that compete in the SUPR Late Model series can, and do, run with the CCSDS series; so you can expect to see several of those great racers at LoneStar Speedway on November 25th as well.

As time draws nearer, a CCSDS driver roster will be announced, but fans can expect many of these drivers - plus several 'invaders': Jack Sullivan (current CCSDC points leader), Garrett Alberson, BJ Robinson, Zach McMillan, Tanner Kellick, Kyle Beard (April 1st, 2017 LoneStar CCSDS winner), Robert Baker, Gavin Landers, Chandler Petty, Jon Mitchell, Brandon Wilson, Hunter Rasdon, David Payne, Charlie Cole, Trey Beene, Joe Gorby, Wendell Wallace, Joseph Long, Ronnie Adams and Austin Theiss. Upwards of 30 Super Late Model teams are expected for this event.

For event updates, we would encourage you to visit at all the usual LoneStar Speedway news outlets, such as www.LoneStarSpeedway.com , www.Facebook.com/LoneStarSpeedway , [http://www.midsouthforums.com,/]www.MidSouthForums.com, www.OklahomaTidbits.com and www.ElbowsUp.com - to name a few.

Action fires off Saturday November 25th at 2pm. The Pit Gate will open by 11am, while the main grandstand area will open by 1pm. The driver's draw cut-off for heat races is 1:15pm, with a driver's meeting set for 1:45pm. Track packing and Hot laps are slated immediately following the short pit meeting, then racing to follow immediately.

Adult grandstand general admission (ages 12-64) to this massive event is just $20! Ages 6-11 are $5, while ages 65+ and military will be $15. All pit passes for all ages are $35.
