Koch doubles up at Sweet Springs
By Chris Hale (Sweet Springs, MO) -- Saturday night at Sweet Springs was a challenging night for our score keepers. With 95 entries and the computer down, they had to hand score all 12 heat races and work on the computer. By intermission, the computer was fixed and the scoreboard came on and all was back to normal. With a start time of 7:00, we ran 12 heats and 6 features and the last checkered flag flew at 10:15! We cannot thank the people in the score tower enough for the hard work and dedication they show every week.

Chris Koch was the star of the night. Koch got in his Kelz Motorsports #15 and won the Non Wing feature. He put the wing on the same car and won the Winged A class. What a great night for that team!
Tyler Rennison ran a hard race with Riley Goodno in the Winged Outlaw feature. Rennison prevailed, but on the last lap Quinn Jones snuck by Goodno at the stripe to take second.
Once again the Restrictor main was the Knipmeyer and Doney show. Braden Knipmeyer had Xavier Doney on his rear bumper for most of the race but Knipmeyer prevailed. Chase Brown was a close third.
Chris Koch started 8th and chased down the leaders in the Winged A class. Kenton Brewer and Tyler Rennison rounded out the podium.
In the Non Wing main, Chris Koch, Nathan Brookshier and Chad Winfrey had a great race. Koch was able to pull away, leaving Brookshier and Winfrey fighting for second. Brookshier took the spot.
Freddy Rowland held off Trey Zorn and a rapidly-improving Levi Hinck for the win in the Junior Main.
Bill Killion won the Sportsman main with Eric Perkins pulling beside him many times, only to be denied.
David Whitt was third.
