3rd Annual Tanner Pelster Memorial Sponsorship Opportunities
On behalf of the Pelster Family and all of us at Boone County Raceway we are excited to announce that the 3rd Annual Tanner Pelster Memorial Race is scheduled for Sunday, July 9th!
Words cannot describe how much we appreciate those who have supported us the past couple of years, nor can words describe how important you are to helping us carry on Tanner’s legacy.

Tanner was the only son and youngest of his siblings (four big sisters). Ever since he was a baby, Tanner loved anything with wheels… tractors, cars, all farm equipment, scooters, roller blades… anything with wheels. With a tiny nudge from his dad and uncle Randy, he became a race car driver at the age of 14; a fourth-generation driver.
Tanner started in a Hobby Stock, getting his first feature win at the age of 16, before moving into a Stock Car. He didn’t race for the money. He lived three blocks from the racetrack and his check was always mailed to him because he never picked it up after the races. Tanner truly loved racing!
The racetrack was a big part of Tanner’s life and those around him had a huge impact on the man he was. Tanner was the most loyal and selfless man you’d ever meet. A truly genuine person with the best laugh.

It is because of all of you that the 2022 race brought in 149 cars and over 4,000 attendees! We are looking forward to 2023 being even more memorable!
