Off Road Speedway
A note from the Promoter
The World of Outlaws Late Model special this last Sunday turned out great. I would like to thank Renegade Stores and Renner Auto Body for their sponsorship for that night. Thanks, to Appliance EMT for the “Tough Luck” awarded to the Hobby Stock #25 and #4M. They will recieve an additional $100 each. Sponsors are a big part of Stock Car Racing and without them we could not do what we do. Also, a big thanks to everyone that put time and effort to make the Norfolk Showdown a success. Track prep, officials, safety crew, everyone behind the scenes and those that helped out when they saw a need. Greatly Appreciated!
Looking ahead to July 3rd, our Independence Day Special. It will be Draw/Redraw with an added purse. All our regular classes will be running. (IMCA Late Models, Hobby Stocks, Sport Mods, Stock Cars) along with 4 cylinders. Races will be at our regular starting time. Those from out of town that were asking about State and National points if they come here…local, state and national points will be awarded. As in the past July 3rd races, we will have a parade lap prior to the National Anthem. And we will continue the tradition of the current points leaders in each class leading the way.
Clausen Air and Appliance EMT, along with the OffRoad Speedway has a great Fireworks show in store for everyone after the races. Thanks to Stealth Broadband for providing flags to give away to the kids along with new U.S. and checkered flags for the track. Patriots United is the July 3rd Race sponsor and Bad Chad MotorSports is the Trophy Sponsor
The OffRoad Speedway has teamed up with the Northeast Nebraska Motorsports Hall of Fame. This newly created organization recognizes the accomplishments and efforts of those that made an impact on MotorSports in our area. The initial 2 classes of Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at the first ever NENMHOF Banquet coming up this fall.
To help with the banquet and awards, Koozies will be sold at the track for $5ea, with all proceeds going to the Hall of Fame.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July and see you at the races, Jerry
