Nick O'Neil attends Duel in the Desert at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas

Nick made the trek to the Dirt Track at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada for the annual Duel in the Desert over the weekend.

100 Modifieds entered the event with Nick starting 6th in the seventh heat race of the night on Thursday night. After slipping back to finish 9th in his heat race, he then rallied from 12th up to 6th in the b-main, but missed a transfer spot, ending his night early.

Friday, he started 5th and finished 3rd in his heat race, transferring directly into the night's feature. In the feature, he rolled off from the 15th starting spot and crossed the finish line in 13th.

Saturday night, Nick started 6th in one of the Last Chance Qualifiers and after working into the top five, he ended up making contact with the wall, which resulted in damage severe enough for him to not be able to continue.
