2019 Schedule Set for US 36 Raceway

US 36 Raceway has released the schedule for the upcoming 2019 season. The tentative schedule has 23 nights of racing scheduled for the high banked speedway and 2019 marks the second year under the IMCA banner for the facility.

Weekly classes remain the same for the 2019 season as IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sprint Cars, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, E-Modifieds and Pure Stocks take to the track each week. Throughout the season, in an effort to allow drivers chasing a championship to have an off week, each class will not run every week. Classes not running on a specific night are noted in the schedule.

The 2019 season opens with practice on March 23 from 1 to 5 p.m. The following Friday, US 36 opens the racing season on March 29 with the Rumble at the Bull Rings. This first big night of racing marks the first visit for the Sprint Series of Nebraska (SSN). Along with the SSN, the Powri Non-Wing Sprint Cars and IMCA Stock Cars open the year. This is a non-points event for the IMCA Stock Cars.

The championship battle starts for the weekly series at US 36 on April 5. Competitors in all six weekly classes will look to jump out to an early championship lead. Last season, five of the six weekly championships were decided by less than 20 points.

After two more weeks of weekly championship racing, on April 26, the ASCS (American Sprint Car Series) National Touring Series will make a stop on their tour at US 36. IMCA Sport Mods and Pure Stocks are also on the schedule that night.

The weekly series takes back the spotlight on May 3, before the ASCS Warrior Region makes their first stop at US 36 on May 10. The IMCA Stock Cars and Pure Stocks will race that night as well.

The next two weeks are big nights for the weekly series, as May 17 is the date for the Pure Stock Shootout. One week later, open-wheel vehicles take center stage for Modified Madness on May 24, the Friday before Memorial Day. Chad Clancy won the IMCA Modified race during Modified Madness last season.

May 31 and June 7 continues the championship chase for the weekly classes.

The Bud Shootout is set for June 14, with the ASCS regional series headlining, along with the SSN and IMCA Stock Cars.

The next two weeks return the storylines to the weekly championship on June 21 and June 28.

The SSN makes their final trip to US 36 on July 5. The ASCS regional series, Pure Stocks and E-Modifieds add to the racing action that night.

The following weekend the IMCA Sport Mods headline for the Wayne Hicks Memorial Sport Mod Shootout, July 12. Josh Munsen won the race last season.

With only a few races left in the championship battle, the July 19 weekly show will set up the battles for the remaining races.

It is the IMCA Stock Car’s turn to garner the limelight as they will run the Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout on July 26. Blake Peeler won the event last season.

Aug. 2 is a crucial weekly show for championship battles, as after this night, drivers have one more shot at a title.

US 36 is not racing Aug. 9 and that sets up an Aug. 16 Championship Night for all six weekly classes.

Although the championships are decided Aug. 16, more racing remains on the US 36 schedule. The ASCS regional series will make another visit on Sept. 28. October 12 marks the final night of the year, the popular fun night.

Each night the pit gates open at 5 p.m., grandstand gates open at 6 p.m., hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing begins at 8 p.m. Any time changes for special events will be released at a later date.

Any information regarding the schedule can be found by following US 36 Raceway on Facebook at US 36 Raceway Dirt Track or on Twitter @US36raceway. US 36 Raceway is also rolling out a new website in the coming weeks and all information will be there as well. US 36 Raceway is located at 9850 S. Hwy 33, Osborn, MO, 64474.

The 2019 US 36 schedule is tentative and subject to change. Regular classes scheduled on special nights are points races for those scheduled classes.
