US 36 Raceway
Modified Madness to Showcase all Three Modified Classes May 24
For the last several years, Modified Madness has been the staple race for US 36 Raceway during Memorial Day weekend. As the racetrack remembers those that fought for our country, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods and E-Modifieds all will battle for a little extra this Friday.
Last year, Shaye Bailey, Nic Hanes and Destyn Whitney took the checkered flags on this night. Three more drivers will add their names to that list in 2019’s event. The IMCA Modifieds headline the event on the high banks, with the winner taking home $1,000. The race pays $150 to start. The night isn’t only about the Modifieds as the IMCA Sport Mods will battle for $500 to win and $80 to start. E-Modifieds also have an increased incentive to take a checkered flag as they race for $350 to win and $60 to start. Pure Stocks are also on the card for May 24.
The pits open at 5 p.m., the grandstands at 6 p.m., hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing is at 8 p.m. General admission is $15, senior and military are $12, children 7-12 $5 and children six and younger are free.
