Public Safety Night presented by Miller Welding this Friday, July 19
OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, July 19, at US 36 Raceway is Miller Welding Night at the Races featuring the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Winged Sprints, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks and E-Modifieds.
It is also the third annual Public Safety Night, as all public safety workers get in free. This includes police officers, firefighters, nurses, doctors, EMT’s, correction officers, current military and veterans. US 36 offers these individuals a night to come out and enjoy some racing. A valid ID must be shown at the ticket gate.
The IMCA Stock Car drivers have one more opportunity to dial in their machines this Friday as in two weeks the area has a big stock car weekend. On Friday, July 26, the Stock Cars race for $1,262 to win and $125 to start. The following night, July 27, they race for $1,000 to win at Bethany Speedway in Bethany, Missouri, which is a short drive up the road.
For this Friday, the pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstands open at 6 p.m. Hot laps start at 7:30 p.m. and racing starts at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors, $5 for children seven to 12, and children six and younger are free. All public safety workers get in free.
