Rash, Starmer, Eaton, Houseman Jr, Ross and Bowers Win at US 36 Raceway
By Rick Staley (Osborn, MO) -- After a great opening ceremonies, the always popular E-Modifieds would set a high standard for the exciting night of racing action. Lawson MO’s own Kevin Rash would start on the pole and set a blistering pace as the field would battle three and four wide in pursuit. Coleman Browning #21K would be the big mover of the race coming from way back in the pack to challenge late with Josh Adkins and the always fast George Burnett #23 for the runner up spots. Adkins, #15 would try rash repeatedly but could not find a way around and Rash would get his first ever victory on the High Banks of US 36 Raceway. Adkins would come home a very close second with Burnett third, Browning fourth and Alek Breckenridge having a great night finishing fifth.

Tyler Starmer #11s from New Hampton, MO Pure Stock Feature Winner!!!
Excitement would fill the air as Pure Stock entered the racing surface with several drivers locked into a tight point battle. Gracie couch #53 would take advantage of a heat race win earlier in the night to start from a front row position and battle Colton Couch for the early lead. Colton couch #13X would find the advantage and lead all laps except the last as Tyler Starmer would use the high line to pass and claim the checkers. Starmer #11s, from New Hampton, MO would work his way from deep in the field of competitors to challenge and would prove poise and calm speed capturing the victory with his exciting last lap heroics. Colton Couch would finish second, with Jimmie Workman #24 riding the fro9nt stretch wall to a third-place finish. Gracie Couch would place a solid fourth with the always entertaining Brandon Hoover #27H continuing a great season fifth on the night.
High flying Wing Sprints would enter the arena next to match man and machine verses track. As the green would fly #76 Jay Russell would take a tumble into the front straight infield but escape unharmed but would take him from the night’s competition. Jacob Dye #20 would take the lead early and appear to be the driver to beat. As laps counted down, Mike Houseman #4L, Kenny Potter #55 and Jack Potter #15 would make their way through the pack to challenge Dye. Houseman would work the high line and actually put two wheels over the back straight berm and maintain control never losing a spot. Dye would step a little high coming off turn #2 and spin out handing the lead to Houseman on the ensuing restart. The green would drop and Houseman’s car would not go as the Potter’s would take advantage moving into first and second but not for long. Houseman, from Des Moines, IA, would again gain his speed and momentum on the high side and recapture the lead to never look back and pick up the feature win. Kenny Potter would place second with Jacob Dye mounting a late charge to salvage a third place showing after his spin. Fourth would belong to Jack Potter with #13 Kevin Frisbie rounding out the night’s top five
Sport Mod would witness Tim Eaton win Heat and feature leading every lap to claim the checkers. Eaton #211, would never look back but was challenged late by a hard charging Chris Wright #66. Great racing ensued behind the leaders with four wide competition and action galore. When the smoke cleared, Eaton would win, Wright second, with Adam Vrbka #7 charging from back to front settling in the third spot. Tim Stallbaumer #K27 would battle Eaton for the lead early but fade slightly placing fourth with Casey Burnett #23B ending the nights race 5th.
Mich Ross #34X from Maysville, MO IMCA Stock Car Feature Winner!!
We have come to expect IMCA Stock Cars to put on a show and tonight’s feature was no different with three and four wide action. Carson Masoner #20X would use a pole starting spot to take the early lead appearing to pull away from the field as they raced behind. Rickie Bobbie #2X and Nate Barnes would battle for second until Bobby would have issues. Mich Ross #34 would have his Mullet flying in the wind as he marched to the front challenging Barnes for second. A late race yellow would bunch the field with Ross charging to the lead on the restart bringing Barnes in tow. Ross and Barnes would battle back and forth in the closing laps with Ross holding off #29x of Barnes for then win. Barnes would have to settle for second with the move of the race belonging to #18K of Rookie Contender Kasey Ayers. Ayers would thread the needle and make it four wide coming off turn #4 to slide into the third spot moving one time leader Carson Masoner to fourth. Hot and heavy racing would see a stellar battle for fifth as Shadren Turner #17X would claim the spot to end the feature.
IMCA Modified would see hard racing action between the two leaders and point contenders as Steven Bowers Jr #77 and Chad Anderson #8c would trade the lead numerous times. Each would win their heat race and would find each other in the feature with Anderson using a lap car as a pit to take the lead from Bowers only to see bowers storm by using a slide job in turn #4 to retake the top spot. The battling continued until Anderson would slip in turns #1 and #2 spinning into the grass. Bowers would continue and pick up the win. 2020 Rookie of the Year Josh Munsen #19X would place second with Anderson recovering for third. Fourth would see a sloid finish for #47L of Jason Withrow and Jeffrey Booher #67 bringing his hot rod home fifth.

Ladies Dominate the Shocker Chassis Pit Crew Challenge Sponsored by Chad Shaw Excavating!!!!
By RickStaley (Osborn, MO) --Competition was in the air and in the hands of valued crew members as the Shocker Chassis Pit Crew Challenge got underway on the front stretch of US c6 Raceway. As the five drivers waited anxiously to take their turn, Brandon Barnes E-Mod would be the first out. Barnes would navigate the cones to perfection and stop perfectly in the designated area, crew would change the tire with only a small issue with the jack. Next would see Brandon Hoover’s Pure Stock navigate the cones but receive a penalty for not being inside the for pit area cones and also a loose lug nut after completion. Enter Mich Ross IMCA Stock as he would not land in the change area correctly and would take off before lug nuts were checked creating time penalties. Steven Clancy would navigate the slalom to perfection and stop on the money in tech area. The ladies and Nate Barnes would change the tire like lightning and drop the jack with no penalties. Final competitor Steven Bowers Jr would enter and see his crew faulter every so slightly but see no penalties.
As the smoke from lug wrenches and floor jacks cleared one team stood tall with the quickest time!!!! Congratulations to Steven Clancy and the Clancy’s Fancy Prancies winning the competition and collecting $250 prize money for their efforts. And yes, the others got beat by the girls with Nate Barnes lending moral support!!!!! The team of Steven Clancy, Nate Barnes, Tiffany Clancy Barnes and Amber Schweer will be champions for a year and will defend the title in 2022, Congratulations!!!!!
