2024 Ernie Mincy Early Thaw Series Rule Update
Early Thaw Series rules have been released to reflect the five divisions that will be in action in each of the six events, held at the Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, Arizona on January 18th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th and 27th, 2024. A pair of practice sessions will also be held on January 17th and 24th. All six race nights will begin at 5pm and the pair of practice sessions will run from 6p-9p.
A reminder that Late Models will pay $2,000 to win for the Thursday night events, $2,500 to win during the Friday night shows and $3,000 to win on the pair of Saturday night events. IMCA Modifieds and B-Mods will race for $1,000 to win during each of the six events, while IMCA SportMods and Stock Cars will race for $750 to win nightly as well.
2024 Rules
P & B Transportation Late Models - WISSOTA SPEC - 2300 lbs. 8-inch spoiler. Follow WISSOTA rules. Sealed GM Crate Engine CT 525 - 2275 lbs. 8.5-inch Max Spoiler. Timing curve 26.0 degree must follow WISSOTA timing curve. Open Motor – 2350 lbs. 8-inch Max Spoiler. 1.100 Restrictor Plate with no RPM limit. Race Gas only, (No Methanol). 23-degree head motors, 362 cubic inch and over must run 2400 lbs. post-race. High Plains, Tri-State, SLMR, etc. with other motor combinations must be approved. (See WISSOTA Rule book) Or call Don at 612-803-3010. • 40-inch maximum deck heigh, side to side post-race. • No air shocks allowed. • Weight - with driver, after race. • No fuel burn off weight per laps. • Must indicate your motor option each day at pill draw & complete the night with that option. • TIRES-W30, LM30, LMNT 3 on RF, LF, LR. • LM40, D55, Crate55, LMNT 4 allowed on RR or any corner. • Siping and grooving allowed. • No needling or softening with any type of product. • Tire testing will be done prior to race with durometer and after race with a groover.
Shocker Hitch B Mods - WISSOTA Midwest Modified - follow WISSOTA Midwest Modified Rules. No trailing arm degree/angle rule. 2 Inch Max Spoiler. Tires - Hoosier WISSOTA 35W or American Racer G-60. Siping and grooving allowed. USRA B Mod - Follow USRA B Mod Rules and Tires. 2 Inch Max Spoiler. X-Mod - Use X-Mod Rules and Tires. 2 Inch Max Spoiler, 6800 RPM Chip.
IMCA Modifieds - Use IMCA Mod Rules and Tires.
IMCA SportMods - Use IMCA SportMod Rules and Tires.
IMCA Stock Cars - Use IMCA Stock Car Rules and Tires.

Rules may be altered if we see an unfair advantage.
MUFFLERS ARE MANDATORY IN ALL CLASSES: 95 decibels or less
Late Models will also be in action four times early in the season on February 16th, 17th, March 23rd and April 6th at CAR.
