2024 Power Rankings - 4-Cylinders - Lake of the Woods Speedway
Welcome to the 2024 Power Rankings! We are taking a different approach on the preview season to see how things might shake out in the Track Championship season!
What does your power ranking look like?
2024 4-Cylinders Power Rankings
1st
#17 Kamea Mulholland
Accolades - 4 All Time Feature Wins
Kamea Mulholland's rise to the top of the power rankings has been a gradual process as she learned the ropes and took her time to become a multiple feature winner. If it wasn't for a mechanical issue at the season opener, not only would her average feature finish be higher, she might have even claimed the championship. Due to her overall consistency, she is number one before season start.
2nd
#177 Dustin Alcock
Accolades - 3 All time Feature Wins
You can never count out Dustin Alcock. While impatience has led to less than stellar results on occasion, 2023 had more consistency, earning him two feature wins, but not enough to claim the championship. It is expected that both Kamea and Dustin will be fighting for top spot weekly, unless the driver below shows continued improvement.
3rd
#71 Madoc Mulholland
Madoc Mulholland might be considered the underdog this season. With a strong showing in the later half of the season, including having the lead in a couple features for over half the race, Madoc is prepped for a breakout season. Perhaps playing spoiler will be his MO in 2024.
4th
#13v Zachary Valiquette
Accolades - 1 All Time Feature Win
After his first feature win in 2022, Valiquette struggled after week one in 2023 with engine problems. His finish of fourth place at the season opener was not indicative for the remainder of the season as he was unable to start the four feature races he attended afterwards. If he is able to solve his engine woes, Zachary might turn some heads.
5th
#14 Shelden McDonald/Taylor Strong-McCauley
The duo of Shelden McDonald and Taylor Strong-McCauley will have a steep learning curve in 2024. Both considered rookies (although McDonald has dabbled a couple times in the 4-Cylinder), it will be a fun experience. Who knows where they might end up by the end of the season.
6th
#21 George Henley Jr.
While not confirmed, George Henley Jr. hopes to attend at least some of the season. 2022 was a rough one for him, but with help from other pit crews, he was able to be more consistent in his last race. It would be great to see him come back and improve throughout the season.
7th
#25M Melanie Alcock
One of the rookies in 2024, Melanie Alcock became a fan last season at Lake of the Woods Speedway and couldn't hold back the excitement to get into a racecar. We look forward to watch her get faster and faster every week and become an even more integral part of the community!
8th
#81 Katelynne Mazur-Defoort
Katelynne Mazur-Defoort is also a rookie who will be attending the majority of races in 2024. Fans should be excited to watch her skill set grow week after week. It will be a very fun season to watch in the 4-cylinder class.
Please Note: There are other possible rookies in the 4-Cylinder class in 2024. However, not enough information has been shared to determine amount of participation.
