Second Annual Andrew Bley Memorial This Weekend
Track personnel are keeping an eye on the weather this weekend but everything is still all systems go for the second annual, Andrew Bley Memorial at Mountain Creek Speedway this Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30th. The two day event will pay honor to former track EMT, safety worker and fire fighter Andrew Bley. With the culmination of the weekend being the twenty-five lap, Andrew Bley Memorial for the Yamaha 450 Outlaw class on Sunday. Mountain Creek Speedway will host our traditional Saturday night flat kart races with outlaw karts on Sunday with the exciting edition of 600 micro sprints who will take to the track for the second time this season.
The first race of the season saw twenty-three 600 micro sprints sign in the gate with Darin Naida taking the win driving for Chad Boat Industries. Because of Sunday afternoon activities split between the Outlaw kart classes and the micros. The Bley Family will hold two 50/50 drawings throughout the day with all money donated going to the Atwell Volunteer Fired Dept. Junior program. The first winning ticket will be drawn before the Box Stock main event with the second drawing to be picked before the 600 Micro Sprint main event. The Andrew Bley Memorial hopes to become an annual addition to Mountain Creek Speedway. When the track isn’t racing, it’s busy Monday through Friday with testing and practice sessions for everything from flat karts to national midgets. The track will also be available for testing and practice days throughout the year.
