Jerry Ketterman's "Super Bad 8" Coming to US 13 this Sunday!
By Chad Cathell - This Sunday at the US 13 Dragway will be the fastest day of the year! 200 mph Dragsters and Door Cars are expected to pack into the track for their shot at grabbing the big money on the line courtesy of Jerry Ketterman. Ketterman an employee of the track for many years has worked diligently to put together this show and develop it into one of the premier shows of the year for the track.
Some of the perks in this years Super Bad 8 includes a $300 kick-off for the Super Calcutta, and a $1,500 bonus to the winner of Super Pro on top of the track payout. That's right! $300 is going into the pot just to start, and then drivers can enter into the Calcutta for just $20 with the person that is entered going the farthest winning it all. If we have 100 cars entered for the event the track payout would be $1,500 which combined would be a total of $3,000 going to the winner plus the Calcutta money if the driver is entered in that. Â Drivers who lose first round and buy back will still count and have a chance at taking home the Calcutta if they're the last man (or woman) standing.
The Cathell family would like to extend their great appreciation to Mr. Ketterman for his hard work in developing this race into an annual event that draws racers from all over the East Coast to attend. Mr. Ketterman would also like to thank all of the sponsors that have generously donated time, money, or prizes to make this event successful. The event kicks off Sunday, May 4th with gates opening at 10 am, time runs at 11 am, and eliminations to follow. Entry fee for Super Pro will be the same as always $41.
