EASTER BUNNY WINS AT U.S. 13’s 2016 SEASON OPENER SUNDAY

 

By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE – The 2016 IHRA Summit Team E.T. and SBRA Bracket Series Race #1 took the green on Sunday at the U.S. 13 Dragway. Time runs were completed and the Easter Bunny once again delighted the children in attendance with his annual Easter Egg Hunt.

 

The day would be “red lighted� however as a heavy mist descended on the quarter-mile late afternoon making the track too wet to compete. Top Eliminator had made it down to the final three cars in 2nd round with Doug Milner scheduled for the bye and Chris Wigfall to face Chris Bishop. Milner would advanced with the bye, while Wigfall and Bishop agreed to a "coin flip" to determine the winner of their race with the win going to Bishop, and the money for the final position in the 2nd round being split between the two drivers. All other remaining winners of Top ET, Mod ET, Outten Brothers Pro Bike, and Street Eliminator in their respective completed rounds would also split the remaining money for the day for their individual class.

 

Action returns this Sunday afternoon with the Summit ET Series plus the Jr. Shootout and Bonus Pay. Gates open at 10 a.m. with time runs at 11 a.m. and eliminations at approximately 2 p.m.
