Late Night Oil Down Stops Racing Before Finals

'- By Laura Truitt, Delmar, DE

This past Sunday at U. S. 13 Dragway had a few bumps in the road that ended up only leaving one class with a winner. Several oil downs placed holds on the IHRA points series event.

Top ET had four racers left competing for the top payout but with the late night oil down it left Alex Bradford, Vance Ulsiton, Bill Groton, and Michael Dilorenzo with a split in the semi-finals.

Mod ET also had two racers waiting to compete in the finals for the win but left Ben Garnett and Daryl Beauchamp to a split as well.

Pro Bike was also in the same situation with two riders left waiting to run their final round. Montrell Johnson and Cordonte Ayres were in the final leaving them with the a split for the final round earnings.

Jr. Dragster’s final two drivers were Cole Foskey and Chase Huber.

Hot Rod’s class was complete but the results were not in at the time of this article. Once results are available this will be updated.

Coming up this weekend is the 410 Grudge Dream race, “Get Busyâ€? Grudge Test & Tune on  Saturday with a Sunday rain date.
