U.S.13 Dragway looking to enhance the racers experience in 2024

***UPDATE: DUE TO RAIN ON SATURDAY, MARCH 2, WE ARE MOVING THE DAILY DRIVER RACE ONLY TO SUNDAY, MARCH 3, GATES OPENING AT 10 AM, TIME RUNS BEGIN AT 11 AM AND ELIMINATIONS TO FOLLOW.
THE PRACTICE TREE BASH WILL CONTINUE ON SATURDAY, MARCH 2, GATES OPENING AT 2 PM FOR PRACTICE SESSIONS.
New for 2024, promoter Mark Cathell looks to local racers to help make U.S.13 Dragway the best it can be. "We have chosen the first Racer Board Members for suggestions and assistance to create Race Procedure & Policy to give racers a better understanding of how things will be run." states Cathell.
We have picked 2-3 racers from each division, the plan is to meet once a month or at least every 2-3 months depending on any issues that may arise. Board members will be the liaison between racers and Track Officials and Management.
Board members will interact with general questions, suggestions and concerns racers have in the field. If the board members can address these listed above, they have the authority to answer. If they feel the issue should be addressed by a Track Official or Management, the board member will go to the Track Official or Management at the appropriate time.
Board members will also welcome any new racer or racers they see who have come to visit for the first time. They will introduce themselves, share their board member status and see if they can advise or help in any way. Board members will also alert Track Officials and Management of any new visitor(s) so they may introduce themselves and welcome them to the facility.
Board members will assist track Management in supporting Policies, Rules and Regulations pertaining to race day activities. This should help the racers have the best experience while attending events at the U.S.13 Dragway. If you are planning to attend this weekend's Practice Tree Bash & Daily Driver Race be sure to thank these racers. It would also be a good time if you have any suggestion to share with them.
