US 13 Dragway
ANOTHER CHAPTER OF DRAG RACING TO BEGIN THIS WEEKEND
Delmar, DE -
The U.S.13 Dragway will start our 61st year of Drag Racing this weekend, March 29-31. It’s been a long winter and our competitors and fans are ready, says Mark Cathell, third generation promoter.
We are excited to begin a new chapter and look forward to seeing all of our racers and fans back at the track. This weekend will kick-off our VP Fuels 2024 Track Championship points chase along with the WDRA World Championship program.
This year will feature three day weekends for each points event, beginning on Fridays with an open Test & Tune from 6pm to 10pm. In addition, there will be a 64 Car Shootout, presented by Schaeffer Oil & Lubricants and Jr. Dragster gamblers race.
The 64 Car Shootout will be open to Top, Mod, Pro Bike and Sportsman racers. Entry fee will be $100 with $2500 to win, $700 runner-up, $300 Semi Finals and $100 Quarter Finals. The Jr. gambler will be a 75% payback according to the amount of entries.
Over the winter, Mark and Denise Cathell, owners of SDM Promotion coordinated a Racer Board to help with developing Race Procedures and Rules to enhance the racers’ experience.
