Little R Celebrates Season at Awards Banquet
RANSOMVILLE, NY (October 20, 2024) The Performance Manufacturing Karting Series at The Little R concluded Sunday afternoon with the 2024 awards banquet at the South Wilson Fire Hall. Mike Seefeldt was crowned the 2024 Mike Barry Motors Sr Heavy track championship. Ben Walsh from Lancaster, NY was crowned the Fisher’s Auto Repair Sr Lites track champion, Jenson Cook won the track title in the Frontier Auto Wrecking Jr 3. Laina Stewart from Lyndonville, NY won the Bud’s Apple Pie Jr 2 track championship. Luke Holmes from Lockport, NY clinched the Planter Box Direct Jr 1 track title.
Speedway management would like to thank Nick Herriven and all the staff at Performance Manufacturing for their continued efforts and sponsorship of the karting program at The Little R.
Best appearing kart awards were presented to Maximus Wallace (Novice), Mason Sharts (Jr 1), Jax Cotriss (Jr 2), Ethan Hammer (Jr 3), Colin Spatorico (Sr Lite), and Ashley Daul (Sr Heavy).There was a Special Recognition Award presented to David Chiodo. Dave is a big supporter of the Little R program and a friend to all. He goes above and beyond and goes the extra mile just to see the kids smile on race nights.
The Crew Chief of the Year Award was presented to Jesse Cotriss. Jesse not only keeps and maintains two winning karts with sons Jax and Easton, but also runs his own Krown Undercoating 358 Modified on a weekly basis.
The Driver of the Year Award went to Ben Walsh. The Sr. Lite track champion won a total of nine races between the Lites and Heavy classes and had 16 top five finishes between the two classes.
The Doug Etue/Larry Stolzenberg Memorial Award was presented to Scott Just. Scott is a go-to person when it comes to the Karting program at the Little R, always willing to lend a hand to anyone who may be in need and does it with a smile on his face. He has been very instrumental in the growth of the Little R.
The Performance Manufacturing Karting Series features the Reid’s Drive-In Novice, Planter Box Direct Jr 1, Bud’s Apple Pie Jr 2, Frontier Auto Wrecking Jr 3, Fisher’s Auto Repair Sr Lites, and Mike Barry Motors Sr Heavy.
