Marv Schultz
Spokane, WA
Driver Information
Marv started racing at the age of 18 after helping his dad for many years. He began Late Model racing in 1988. After his father's passing in 1998 he stepped away and began Flat Track Motorcycle racing. He became a national number and went on to be very successful. In 2012 he decided his body couldn't take much more on a motorcycle and stepped back into a Hobby car but it just didn't go fast enough. He sold that and began racing Late Models again in 2014. He has had a passion to get behind the wheel of a Winged Sprint Car so in 2016 he purchased one and had the time of his life. It's the "rush" he always thought it would be.
After a 2 and a 1/2 year hiatus due to suffering a series of strokes then undergoing a brain bypass surgery in January of 2024 and now in December of 2024 being diagnosed with terminal esophageal, stomach, liver and lymphnode cancer he's going to get back into it and enjoy it as long as his body will let him. He currently is doing Chemo every other week and Immunotherapy every 3 weeks.
