Deal Burns the dirt up at Lawton for OCRS WIN
Last weekend, ADR burnt the pavement up traveling to Greenville, TX to race the Oakes Motorsports 52 midget. Unfortunately, the car experienced machinal issues and they were unable to finish out the weekend. A last-minute decision left the team racing back home to prep the 15D OCRS Sprint car for Oil Capital racing in Lawton, OK. Even though they spent over 18 hours traveling from race to race, Deal was eager to get behind the wheel yet again.
With 26 cars set race, Deal was lined up to start in last position of the 4th and final heat race. From green flag to checkered flag, Deal was able to pull off a 2nd place finish which had him sitting pretty for the A feature line up. Starting second row inside, Andrew was behind Johnny Kent for the first lap. Quick maneuvering allowed him to take the lead on the high side in the second lap. The race leaders were right on his heels the whole way. Yellow flags gave Deal a clean track for restarts and allowed him to pull away when he needed it most. In the lead for 29 laps, Deal’s consistency steered him into victory lane.
Andrew and crew gives a huge thank you to his sponsors, who he could not do any of this without: AJ&M racing engines, ART chassis, Henton-Sturm Oil, CSI shocks, Bombshell Designs. As always, they appreciate the fans and all the support they offer.
