Baylee celebrated her 8th birthday on the race track for her first time ever. Some trouble leading up to race night with safety gear and weather, however she found her line on the track and she did not stop. Her first, two heats went smooth as they could. Baylee made two impressive passes. She also caught some air and it made her hit the pedal even harder. Baylee was just 2 weeks old when she went to her pawpaw's first modified race. She slept the entire time. As she has gotten older we have watched how she picks up on things. Things like foot control, where to be on the track at the time being, how to get around other karts, and just simply knowing what to do and when to do it. Baylee is supported soley from friends and family. Ronnie Akridge is her pawpaw and he is the man behind all of this. No way could we do it without him. Tina Akridge aka Gramma makes sure we have all the snacks we need, drinks and things to get through the races. Chey Cawyer (mom) is learning what hard work is. Who knew some much work goes into tire prep?! Numerous other friends and family support Bay Bay in racing because they know she loves it. We could not do it without them. We are excited to see what happens each week as she progresses and gets better around the dirt track.

Coming out of turn 3 Baylee made an awesome pass around all the cars on the bottom of the track to end her 2nd heat in 1st place.
