CJ Horn Doubles Up with Wins at Independence and Mason City
It was another successful weekend for CJ Horn, as the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native added two more victories to his season tally in the Horn Racing Engines No. 01 Late Model.
Saturday’s program at Independence Motor Speedway featured a pair of Karl Chevrolet Pro Late Model Tour events — including a makeup feature from June 14. In the 30-lap rescheduled race, Horn led every lap en route to his sixth win of the year before adding a fifth-place finish in the regularly scheduled A-Main later that night.
Horn capped the weekend in style on Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway. After charging from sixth to second in his heat, he dominated the 25-lap feature, pacing the field from start to finish to secure his second win in as many nights and back-to-back $1,500 paydays.
