81 Speedway
Triple Threat !!
*The Heartland modified tour rolled thru town this past Saturday night. We are always Thankful to have Trenton, Stick, Erick and the crew here at 81 Speedway. The Tour has proven to be the top regional touring series in the country. Special thanks to Premier Maintenance for the great fireworks on the parade lap. (Heartland Results and race info on another Story) check it out on 81speedway.com
*The Night started with the TM Fencing LLC Super Stocks, It was a really good race as 6th starting Jerrod Reimer worked his way through traffic on his way to the front. Reimer Racing takes Win number one on the night. It was Brewster Baker…,no no , That was Jason McGehee finishing 2nd, Chris Eveland in 3rd. These guys are tuning up for the Super Stock Special coming up Oct 5th, details soon on the BiG show.
*In the Rage Jerky Mini Stocks Titus Bortzfield has been the class of the field most of the season, Tyler Griffitts has proven that Big-T can be beat though and they lined up from the beginning side by side in. A good battle until Griffitts car had a part failure ending his night early. Justin Esparza made a run at the front challenging Titus on the restarts and ended up 2nd, 3rd went to Drake Jaeger and Joshua Caudell with another strong showing came home 4th. Titus captured another A-Feature win giving Reimer Racing another win on the night.
*With another great field of 29 cars (Thanks Beau for staying home…. “Wink” No dirty 30 in effect) in the Allied battery and energy Stock Cars the night started with some great heat racing action throughout all 4 heats. Some big time movers Like Aaron Esparza moving up 6 spots you just knew the feature was going to be a good one. The 81 speedway track crew headed up by the GM (not going anywhere) John Allen had the surface in amazing shape top to bottom. Thanks GH,JS, and the rest of the bunch that puts in the effort. Track work doesn’t start on race day!! Anyways enough about us, The feature event let the racers race in many lines, choosing the correct one at the right moment is what made the difference for youngster Rocket Jayce Reimer, As he battled with Scott Miller for the lead, Clint Smith , Aaron Esparza were all on the bottom groove, Reimer tried the top and found some speed, after getting to the lead others moved up and some stayed on the bottom making the racing super close and competitive. Several back of the pack yellows made the restarts more important than ever. When the checkers flew Jayce Reimer gave Reimer racing a clean sweep on the night in 3 divisions. This is the second time this year this has happened!! Not only that, but each of the 3 are now in the points lead as well with just a few races remaining. Scott Miller 2nd, Champ Clint Smith 3rd, Aaron Esparza 4th, and Hard Charging Kyler Kemp up 8 spots to 5th. This division has proven to provide the best action throughout the season and the points are coming down to the wire!!!
*The last show of the night brought the Kansas Tow Co. USRA B mods to the track , MC2 Clint McFadden had some good starts trying to get an edge the on the competition and in the end he came home 2nd. Tyler Kidwell had a dominating race , winning here and is working hard for the USRA National title. In 3rd was Ethan Young, and Slade Mohr hit the scales in 4th. The USRA B mods have opened up some rules allowing some other cars to participate and we enjoyed seeing the Weins family and others come out to the show.
*Come out next week for more racing action
