Wilson Taking on Trio of Texas Events This Week With World of Outlaws

Inside Line Promotions – PEVELY, Mo. (April 25, 2018) – Greg Wilson has a trio of Texas races on tap this week with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Alloy Wheels sponsored team will race on Wednesday at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige before venturing to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite on Friday and Saturday for the Texas Outlaw Nationals.
“It’s always exciting to return to the first track the Outlaws raced at,” he said of Devil’s Bowl Speedway. “There is a lot of history at that track so it’s neat to be a part of racing there each year.”
Wilson charged from 23rd to 15th during his debut at Cotton Bowl Speedway in 2016. He posted his career-best result of ninth during his most recent visit to Devil’s Bowl Speedway last year.
“We have positive results at both tracks so we’re looking forward to this week’s action,” he said. “The goal is to continue to improve each time out.”
Wilson is coming off a pair of World of Outlaws races last weekend, beginning on Friday when he made his debut at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. Wilson progressed throughout the night and rallied in the Last Chance Showdown before coming up only two positions shy of making the A Main.
“We got a lot of great notes from that track,” he said. “It had really tricky conditions from the start of the night, but we made a lot of gains. I think the next time we race there we’ll be set up a lot better.”
The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 during the Spring Classic. Wilson moved forward in a heat race, won the C Main and advanced five positions in the Last Chance Showdown.
“It was a night we got a little too far behind in qualifying, but I was again pleased with our progress,” he said. “Any time you can get better each time you hit the track it’s a positive.”
Sunday’s event at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., rained out.
