Brandon Hahn Ready for Ricky Bobby Impression at Salina Highbanks Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 13, 2013) – If there is a sequel to the movie “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” the main character should be Brandon Hahn.

Just like Ricky Bobby, Hahn just wants to go fast, which is exactly what he will do on Saturday when the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour tackles Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla.

“It’s so fast,” Hahn said. “It’s probably the fastest-feeling race track I’ve ever been on in a sprint car. It wings over really, really hard and the left rear just digs all the way around that thing. I think the last time the ASCS guys went there they averaged 125 miles per hour around there. That’s pretty quick. I don’t know what our top speed is, but it’s fast, fast, fast.”

Hahn was successful during a pair of Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour events at the high-banked track last season. He claimed a thrilling heat race and started the main event fifth before being caught up in a crash on the second lap last June.

He then finished 10th during his last visit to the 3/8-mile oval in August.

“It’s fast,” he said. “It’s high banked. You’ve got mean slide jobs. It’s fun to race. You just hold it to the floor and don’t even turn the wheel. You hit that banking and it will turn it for you. If the track slicks off and you have a top and a bottom, it gets pretty racy.”
