-Whew…… Not even sure where to begin with such an exciting night of point finale racing. With Three divisions all still up for grabs to win the season championships the fans were in for a great show. I have to say thanks to so many people, F.O.E wants to thank any racer or fan for coming out at any point this season!!! We also want to thank the crews, families, and friends that make it all possible to put each event on. — I normally try to stay in race order for the recap, but that would just make the story so much harder to write. So let’s start at the Top.
*The premier division at 81 Speedway the Alternative Pest Management USRA A mods. With Championship aspirations the newly formed KSR team in a BOM race car driven by Dan Powers looked to have the title in their crosshairs until an off track incident that required surgery single hand-idly ended his shot and allowed the lurking and always fast Paden Phillips to nab the title and is your 2024 Alternative Pest Management USRA Champion! Congrats to Paden and his team on an amazing season. Now for the race recap…. Lance Mari who often visits his “favorite track in the country” stopped by then won his heat race and redrew the pole position, he looked good leading the entire race only being challenged by Paden Phillips on a restart. Lance Mari 1st, Champ Phillips 2nd, Tanner Black 3rd , Hard charging, “not jumped this time” Hollywood Tyler Davis 4th and Treyton Gann 5th.
-The Kansas Tow Co. USRA B-mods came down to just Slade Mohr and Clint Mc Fadden battling it out for the season title and man did they battle for it! The two raced side by side lap after lap exchanging spots vying for the same real estate. Last years Champ McFadden threw all but the kitchen sink at the youngster Slade Mohr but Slade held it together finishing a spot ahead and locking down his 2024 Kansas Tow Co. USRA B mod championship. At the scales Slade dedicated the season to his late father and hall of famer Wes Mohr jr. For the race recap it was all Tyler Kidwell who seems to have found some speed and a liking to the 81 Speedway this season. K.C. Mullin 2nd, Clayton Schroer 3rd, Champ Mohr 4th and Clint McFadden 5th. Lanterman in the 4a couldn’t find the scales on another night out. ;)
-The JLR Property Management 316 Modifieds this year has seen some wiley veterans and a plethora of new and newish newbies vying all season for the points title. Having a large lead and by virtue of just checking in we are excited to announce that Kendall Kemp is your 2024 Season Champion!! We can’t wait to see what is in store for the 2K next season.?.?!! For the race recap instead of pulling up Kason Carroll went floating down a river along with his championship chances. The points battle for second at that point was super close with Cooper Weis, Alex Krogmeier and Cody Johnson just a few points apart. Cooper Weis expired early with apparent mechanical issues leaving Krogmeier to pole vault them both finishing second in the season points. My oh my what not taking a DQ may have done earlier in the year for that youngster. The race recap came down to the Flyin Ryan McAninch 52 finding the top side and cruising to a large victory. Champ Kemp 2nd, Darren Moses 3rd, Alex Cammon 4th and James Weve rounding out the top 5.
-The next 3 divisions are where the Trifecta took place. I am no historian, but I am certain that during the FOE Enterprises tenure that no multi car family/team has swept each of the Point Championships in all 3 classes they race in. Enter Reimer Racing, they set a goal to do just that at the beginning of the year and Jerrod Reimer ran away with the TM Fencing LLC Super Stock point title in commanding fashion! The Super Stock class got tougher as the season went on and the race recap is highlighted by a new winner this season Chris Eveland finding VL!! Champ Reimer 2nd, “late to the party” Kenny Sweet 3rd, Alan Blevins 4th and JD Eveland 5th.
-The Rage Jerky mini stocks point battle was over before it started when Titus Bortzfield drew his entry pill, Another dominating season for Reimer Racing as Big-T won 10 total times on the season on his way to becoming the 2024 Rage Jerky Mini Stock champion. The race night recap had Tyler Griffitts in control early until a late restart allowed Titus to capitalize and go onto victory. Tyler Griffitts 2nd, “thinks” he’s locally hated Rustin Allen was the hard charger finishing 3rd, Drake Jaeger 4th, and Joshua "wallbanger" Caudell 5th.
-The Allied Battery and energy Stock cars have been the toughest, largest, and most competitive class all season. The point scenarios were all over the place with 3 Drivers still racing for the Chip. Perennial Champion Clint Smith, A-Aron Esparza, and Jayce Rocket Reimer all were in the mix to get it done. The race recap had everything to do with how this was going to play out. Aaron starting second, Jayce starting 3rd, and Clint fourth. It was Clint Smith taking the lead early on after Joey Richmond lost a rear end. This race was one of the best all year and Jayce had to keep pace inside the top 5 to not let his slim point margin slip away. On the white flag lap Aaron drive into turn 3 way harder than any lap before and passed Clint for the Win!! Clint came home 2nd, Brandon Conkwright 3rd, Jayce Reimer 4th, and one heat race lap short Bad Beau Davis 5th. The points were so close but at the end another Reimer Racing machine took home the Championship! Congrats to Jayce Reimer and the entire team on one hell of a season that may not ever be repeated.
-We understand the hard work, dedication on and off the track that it takes for all of you and we thank you for spending your Saturday nights at the races here at 81 Speedway. As a reminder let’s be friendly with one another and most of us look forward to being here next season……. Some just have to stay home :)

  • Two events remain in the 2024 season at 81 Speedway. Come out and see the Fall Finale Oct 5th as the TM fencing LLC Super Stocks take the stage when big money is on the line! Special thanks to Central Spray Foam.,The kids fire up their power wheels in the 2nd annual show at intermission. The Twister City Enduro by Broadway Truck and Auto takes place right after the Feature.150 laps of fun and chaos.
