Bright Seeking to Extend Winning Streak to Four Next Sunday at Grandview

Inside Line Promotions – COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (Aug. 24, 2014) – Alex Bright is looking to extend his career-best winning streak.

While he has won five straight in the micro ranks, Bright is riding a midget-best three-race winning streak with the ARDC Midgets heading into next Sunday’s event at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa.

“I think we have a good opportunity to win,” he said. “We were running strong last time and were leading the race until we got in that wreck. I’m looking forward to Sunday.”

Bright’s streak would have likely been at four consecutive. However, a lapped car turned down on Bright while he led the main event last month at Grandview Speedway. The collision resulted in a violent flip for Bright, who has rebounded with three trips to Victory Lane since the crash.

“We definitely have a lot more confidence than if we were going in with zero wins, but at the same time it puts a little pressure on us to try to keep the winning streak going,” he said. “It’s not going to be easy. There’s a lot of good guys we’re racing against.”

Half of Bright’s 10 wins this season were during ARDC Midgets competition.
