This past Sunday night was quite a bit better total performance then the previous opening weekend. It started with me drawing about 70 numbers lower then any of my draws so far this year, witch set us up on the pole position for the heat race. With a good start and clean air we were able to win the heat witch felt good, but ultimately wasn't a very favorable win as they drew a 2 witch made us start in the 6th row.
The track was a little heavier, wetter then usual for a feature event and it was also starting to peel apart some here and there witch made it a tricky racing surface. We lined up 6th row outside and quickly moved forward to 7th in two laps,the red flag flew for a car turned over on the exit of turn 4.
We restated 7th and moved into 5th where I kind of ran into a road block of the leaders and some lapped traffic, we were able to sneak through there and grab 3rd and was side by side for 2nd at the finish line. I sure woukd have like to ended that awesome run with a W but we will take it and hopefully continue to build in it through the season here and see how things shake out.
Cannot thank all of our partners, friends,fans and family who came out and supported us this weekend! Were looking foreword to Memorial Day weekend and two races at Husets Speedway. Sunday races start at 7, Monday at 5pm.
