Driver Information
Kevin was 10 years old when he first raced a TaG 60cc kart at I55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri. He really enjoyed going to the track with his family and was a quick learner resulting in top five finishes every time he raced.
During his second year of racing,Kevin began to travel around the Midwest racing at many different tracks such as Road America, Gingerman and Iowa Speedway. He also moved up to an 80cc shifter kart which he liked because he said, "I like being able to drive faster. I can reach speeds near 105mph at some of the large road courses."
During his third season of racing, Kevin had many exciting moments which included driving a 125cc shifter kart and a 125cc TaG, as well as driving a Bandolero car. It was impressive to see Kevin adapt to all the different driving styles - from a very responsive kart to a car with low rpm's and high torque. Kevin drove the Bandolero in the KOIL Tour and worked very hard to finish sixth in the series and also win the Indiana Speedrome Bandolero Championship. He also was the points winner for the INEX "Young guns" in Missouri.
In season four, Kevin continued to race both karts and Legends cars. One of his best achievements was winning all of his races in both Tag 125jr and shifter at his hometown track - Gateway International.
The year ended with an amazing experience in Las Vegas at Supernationals where he finished 7th competing against the best in the US and some International drivers as well.
In 2010, Kevin focused on perfecting his racing skills with his main focus being Legends cars. Kevin finished 3rd in the FAST Midwest series. This busy season also included competing in the Legends Million at Charlotte Motorspeedway. Kevin ended the year with an Arena dirt race in Graham, Texas.
2011 started with several Legend car races in Texas in a winter series and trip to Florida for the Winter Nationals. Kevin also tested and raced an IMCA Southern Sport Modified on dirt. He also ran an ASA truck for the first time. He finished the INEX Summer Shootout in the top ten overall with a best finish of 5th place in the final race. Kevin was the US Legends Missouri state points Champion for 2011. He finished 3rd in Las Vegas at the State Champions race. The season closed at the US Legend Nationals in Las Vegas where Kevin made the podium with a 5th place finish. Out of 388 drivers in the semipro division, Kevin ranked 12th.
Kevin was able to test a Late Model in 2012 and run a couple races. He began a relationship working with Gene Roberts, former crew chief of NASCAR champ, Bill Elliot.
With sponsorships, Kevin could move into an ARCA car.
Kevin wants to reach his ultimate goal of racing in NASCAR and he continues to train physically and mentally. He has shown dedication and an appreciation of the sport not always seen in other drivers. Kevin is always ready to race and has continued to adapt to whatever situation he is put in and he is thankful for every opportunity that comes his way.
