Pink Angie - Article from Wild Kart
The woman racing driver who's out to take the checkered flag in the world of fast cars and mechanics usually dominated by men is just about the most unlikely racing driver you will ever see. The usual image of women and motorsport is a bikini-clad promotions girl draped across an Formula 1 machine.
But Angie Donahue aims to challenge that by getting behind the wheel of the racing machine herself. Not any machine, but Wildkart's Fighter II chassis. Thirteen years old from Missouri has two brothers, Kevin and Kyle that also race in Karting. After four years of racing the tracks in the Midwest of the U.S., Angie has achieved some great results in her short career.
She showed her talent racing in TaG 60. After a 5th place in the CSC series, she moved into TaG Junior the following year. She scored a pole position on her first race in that category. Angie also set her sights to a shifter karts. But Karting wasn't enough for her as she tried herself in the Bandolero and legend racing.
Fueled by her passion for racing, Angie Donahue aims to race in Formula 1 someday.
