WEST MEMPHIS, Ar. – With just two weeks remaining until the Outlaw Nationals in Tulsa, OK, Bradley Fezard returned to action after a brief hiatus at West Memphis, AR’s Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night.

A dozen micro sprints checked into the pit area for the night’s racing events, and Fezard was set to start on the outside of the front row in his heat race. Though he took the top spot on when the initial green flag waved, a no-start was called, and the field was restacked for another try. He wasn’t able to get as good of a start this time, and couldn’t edge the polesitter into turn one. He worked relentlessly for the entire qualifying event to get around the leader, but the speedway’s top line was dominant, and the Florida native now living in Hot Springs, AR was unable to find a way around the man on point, settling for second when the heat race concluded.

The heads-up lineup listed Fezard in the fourth starting spot for the feature race, in which 15 laps was the scheduled distance around the quarter-mile. He fell to fifth on the start, but reeled the fourth-place car back in over the first seven laps before finally reclaiming the position on lap eight. The field had already begun to string out, with nearly a half-straightaway gap between Fezard and third place. Nevertheless, the black and red Stallard/FTZ Honda rallied to close that gap, and with two to go, it appeared that he was in good position to take the final podium spot. He was within striking distance passing under the white flag, and peeked to the bottom through turns one and two. Slower traffic in front of the pair forced both of them to lift, and it was just enough to break Fezard’s momentum and let his competitor pull away, leaving the #58 to finish in the fourth spot.

Fezard would like to thank Brandon’s Ranch and Aaron’s Powdercoating, as well as his mom and dad and Aaron Qualls for their continued support.

Fezard next plans to compete on October 11 at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, AR before heading to Tulsa OK’s Port City Raceway for the “Outlaw Nationals” on October 16-18, both in the #58 600cc micro sprint entry.
