Fezard Banks First Career Win

LITTLE ROCK, Ar. – In his first week as a member of Redbeard Promotions, Bradley Fezard wasted no time in getting down to business. The Hot Springs, AR racer led every single lap he ran on Saturday night, picking up his first win in his racing career in his family-owned #58 Stallard/FTZ Honda at the infamous “Dirty 30,” Little Rock, AR’s I-30 Speedway.
Fezard lined up pole position for his heat race, and never looked back. He faced some adversity when, with three laps left, the left sideboard on the top wing started to collapse, making the car harder to drive, but he persevered to pick up the heat win.
With repairs made to the wing, Fezard found himself outside row two on the grid for the 20-lap main event. When the green flag dropped, he rocketed around the three cars in front of him, and when he exited turn two, it would be the final time he raced for position all night. He led the field into turn three, and set sail. A caution around the halfway point was the first of four yellows that would slow the pace during the race, but each time, Fezard pulled away from the rest of the field on the restart. Lapped traffic didn’t cause much trouble for him nearing the end of the race, as he scored the first of many wins to come in his young career.
Fezard would like to thank Brandon’s Ranch and Aaron’s Powdercoating, as well as his mom and dad and Aaron Qualls for their continued support.
Fezard next plans to compete on September 27 at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, AR in the #58 600cc micro sprint entry.
